Pro Tip #1:

Factor in getting ready time and driving time when choosing a location. I will always recommend outdoor sessions to take place around 1-2 hours before sunset. Plan your meals, naps, time to get EVERYONE dressed, and driving time accordingly (including the Starbucks run like my husband likes to surprise me with every time we leave the house!).

Pro Tip #2:

Bring the snacks! And water. Fruit snacks, goldfish crackers, popcorn are all great choices. Save the melting and sticky stuff for a treat at the END of your session :)

Pro Tip #3

Travel in something comfortable and versatile (mostly for your kiddos). It's okay to dress your little ones in the back of the car when you arrive. Bring comfy walking shoes for yourself and swap them out once we find our spot! I always bring a wagon with me....for both my stuff and yours! We can cart ALL the things around all day long.
